A graduate of the University of Auckland, Bharat Parshotam has been practising law since 1985. He commenced his career at Fortune Manning, an established law firm in the city, becoming a partner in 1991.
In 1996, he joined BC Patel in partnership, practicing from the current premises at Mt Roskill. Upon Mr Patel’s retirement at the end of 1999, the firm changed its name to Parshotam & Co, and it is now known as Parshotam Lawyers.
The law runs in Bharat’s family. The firm ‘Parshotam & Co’ in Suva, Fiji, was founded in 1955 by Bharat’s uncle, Kantilal Parshotam, who was later joined in partnership by Bharat’s brother Subhas and his cousin Satish.
Parshotam & Co in Fiji remains one of the largest and most reputable law firms in the country.
